Description :
For years, children from the frontline could not play outside because the area was infested with mines and unexploded ordnance. In the village, school and kindergarten remain closed. The only place for outdoor activities is the new playground opened by the ICRC. At the opening, children participated in different activities such as drawing, soap bubbles, jump rope and various sport competitions. ICRC also conducted a short mine risk information session for children, who received puzzles, notebooks, pens, bookmarks and leaflets.
