“Health workers have been and will always be on the front line providing awareness, medical and mental health services to communities affected by the COVID-19 and other diseases. Most of the time, we take risk with limited resources and capacity to ensure people receive the right messages in a timely manner, and even sometimes stress ourselves out” explained one of the doctor present at the workshop. The two-day workshop on understanding emotional reactions to the COVID-19 pandemic, recognizing signs and symptoms of stress and how to cope with it in work with affected populations as well how to provide basic psychological support helped them to be prepared to handle this crisis.
