Description :
The camp is close to the airport and to more conventional residential areas, which contrasts greatly with the Bamako landscape. On part of the dump, people from all over the region come together to sort the waste and try to find different recyclable materials that will be resold later. Very few displaced persons do this work on the bangs of the camp, it is rather reserved for people who came here several years ago, even though often this situation is conflictual, as the displaced receive help and they do not. This is one of the main problems that the associations of self-help for the displaced have had to face.
