Description :
In the prisons of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), feeding detainees can be a challenge because of food stock shortages. In 2020, the ICRC initiated a food aid emergency program with the agreement of the Congolese authorities. This program targeted five prison facilities and aimed at bringing aid to detainees, some of whom were exposed to malnutrition.
