Description :
This man, his wife and their four children had to flee Syria in 2014 and to leave behind a fully established life in the country to return to Lebanon, where they originally come from. Like many other families of returnees, their economic situation took a hard hit as not only they lost it all, but they are also not eligible to the status of refugees. Additionnally, the critical economic situation in Lebanon has been putting a strain on the couple's living conditions.
Back in Syria, the father of the family used to own a bakery and since his return to Lebanon he unnsuccessfully tried to repursue his initial occupation to secure a source of revenue for his family. A few months ago he was finally able to open his bakery with the support of the ICRC's micro-economic initiative programme.
