Description :
This 35-year-old woman fled Amchidé, a locality affected by the Lake Chad crisis, and resettled in Maroua in 2014. At the beginning, the situation was difficult: "I didn't know anyone in Maroua. I slept outside with my baby, near a gas station. During the day, my baby on my back, I used to do dish-washing in the restaurants of the city centre before coming back to the gas station at night", she explains.
Today she runs a small business and sells doughnuts and fries. The ICRC supports her through cash money grants.
