Description :
The ICRC, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, rehabilitated 33 schools in rural Idleb, in the areas of Sinjar, Abu Dahour and Khan Shikhoun. Close to 3000 students will benefit from these interventions. To ensure a healthy environment that will have positive impact on the students, the project, which started in 2021, centered on water and sanitation interventions and light rehabilitation of classrooms. It included the replacement of water taps, the maintenance and provision of doors and windows, and the provision of solar power systems to operate the schools’ water pumps.
