In 2022, the ICRC visited 22 places of detention in Azerbaijan and followed up on individual detainees, including those linked to the armed conflict. During these visits, ICRC teams also distributed 9,000 hygiene kits, donated sports equipment and books, and made ad hoc distributions of clothing to the most vulnerable detainees.
