She tells: "Tonight it was very noisy. The explosions are coming closer. Whenever I eat something, I feel bad, knowing that many people here have nothing. Yesterday a colleague asked me if he could have an empty carton box, to make a fire to cook. So many children have burns, with wounds full of maggots. It is a tragedy! We are so concerned for our colleagues in Al Shifa. I cannot get in contact with Dr Mohamed.
One of my colleagues broke down while working with me in the Operational theatre, when he got a call that 10 people of his family plus his best friend was killed in Rafah. It was heart breaking and I cried. We could work 24/7 and it would not be enough. I have such a deep respect for each and every one here."
