‘We didn't expect this to happen. Literally, in half a day, from midday to 6-7pm, we had nothing left, nothing left, and that was it.'
When the intensive bombing began, Liudmyla and her family went into the cellar. Her daughter hid photo albums in the machine in case the wall of the house was destroyed, to at least save the photos. But when the bombing stopped and they left the cellar, there was nothing left - everything had burnt down.
