Description : Thanks to pre-hospital care training, twenty ambulance service providers from civil organisations in the region are improving their skills so that they can provide comprehensive care, manage crises effectively and respond effectively to the needs of their communities.

‘I realise that the safety of the team is crucial during emergency operations, as we can be indirectly affected,’ says Ko Nanda Aung, a member of a civil society organisation. ‘This training helps me to better understand the importance of awareness and how to treat patients according to their age and condition, and transfer them to hospital for appropriate treatment,’ he added. ‘In an emergency, all first responders need to know how to keep themselves safe while providing care during intense crises,’ said an ICRC staff member.
