Description :
Three canals in Tarinkot are currently in need of repair: Kakrak, Sajawell and Saran.
As a result of the damage, the communities currently have no water because the canal has been completely damaged in some places, and if the situation continues as it is, they will not be able to grow anything in the next season. Even their fruit trees are dying and they are considering moving. In recent years, the farmers have not been able to cultivate more than a quarter of the land they own because of the lack of water. Their wheat production is very low compared with the average. The communities have good experience of cleaning their canal, but following the recent flooding, cleaning is beyond their capacity because of the extensive damage. From experience, they believe that 200 workers for one month will be able to clean the Kakrak canal properly, as well as building 250 retaining walls and rehabilitating the diversion point.
