Description :
After several meetings and discussions with municipalities and various stakeholders, including local committees in IDP shelters and the Ministry of Health and Social Services, and in line with the ICRC's public health priorities in Gaza, the programme for economic security (ECOSEC) has implemented a cash-for-work project to support waste management efforts in 17 municipalities through the temporary hiring of 3,542 workers.
3,542 households, including 19,481 people in 17 different municipalities in the Gaza Strip, are involved.
The project will start at the beginning of May 2024 and run until the end of 2024.
