Representatives and staff from the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine (Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights) participate in an in-person training session organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the conference hall of the Ombudsman's Office in Kyiv on May 27, 2026.
The session gathered specialists from the Department for International Cooperation and EU Integration, the Department for Monitoring Compliance with Rights in the Defense Sector, and the Department for Monitoring Compliance with Children's Rights to present the Commentary on the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War (GC IV) and explore practical applications of international humanitarian law (IHL) in monitoring and protecting human rights during armed conflict.
