Al-Obeidi refugee camp is just 30 kilometres away from the Syrian border.
Each family registered with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is allowed a three-minute phone call to a destination of their choice. Although he has contacted his closest relatives across the border, he cannot afford to call those living in the Gulf region.
