Caption : Al-Madinah al-Siyahiyyah. As in other locations, the fighting has resulted in the stoppage of the water pumping and filtration unit in the city. The ICRC rehabilitated the water unit, which is now providing clean drinking water to the displaced families taking shelter there. The ICRC also distributed food and other essential relief items to 13,200 people in January 2015.

Description : Al-Madinah al-Siyahiyyah used to be one of the best recreational facilities for Iraqi families. Located at Al-Habbaniyah Lake, 45 kilometers northwest of Fallujah, the huge facility had chalets, a nice hotel, restaurants and other facilities. For the second time in this decade, the facility has lost its recreational purpose and instead of tourists, it is now sheltering nearly more than 13,000 displaced people from Fallujah, Ramadi, Ghurmah and Jurf al-Sakhr.
