Description :
The majority of women from this area do their maternity consultation in Gambia, a few kilometers away. The medical staff establishes for them a new medical record matching the health system in Senegal.
In Casamance, the ICRC supports five health centres belonging to three health districts. The ICRC facilitates the transfer of medical teams, playing a role of neutral mediator in the field of health, and reinforces the presence and action of medical teams in a difficult accessible zone. The ICRC works in collaboration with medical teams from the district.
