Caption : Kabul, ICRC orthopaedic centre. Zarsanga, 8 years old, lost her foot and part of her left leg when a rocket shrapnel struck her in Ghazni province two years ago. She was initially treated at the French medical institute for children where she remained for nine months. Since then, Zarsanga and her father have travelled three hours by bus from Ghazni to the ICRC orthopaedic centre every three months for ongoing treatment to help bring her back to her feet.
