Description :
Hundreds of vulnerable households live in Bakassi internally displaced persons (IDP)’ camp, located in Nigeria’s North-East largest city of Maiduguri in Borno state, benefit from ICRC’s cash for livelihood program for female-headed households. Through this program, the ICRC grant up to 100 vulnerable IDPs households with initial cash grant to support them to improve their income by starting up a livelihood activity through which they earn income to meet their minimum consumer basket in the long run. In addition, they also receive monthly cash assistance during 5 months to allow them to cover at least 50% of minimum food needs.
