Description : The woman had just given birth to her son, who was only 2 days old when her husband fled the violence. “In that time I was extremely sad and depressed, because as a woman giving birth to her child the only thing that you need the most is your husband next to you. We were separated for 2 years until the day I decided to run away and join my husband,” she said. She was reunited with her husband through the ICRC’s Restoring Family Links program, which seeks to reconnect families who are separated during conflict.
