Description :
As the nearby Israeli settlement expanded, villagers lost access to large parts of their agricultural land. In 1991, a new Israeli outpost was built along the main road connecting the village to the town of Yatta. Since December 2000, the road has been off limit for Palestinians for security reasons. Villagers now use a 12km detour road to reach Yatta. This has created a growing sense of isolation and has had an immediate impact on all areas of life.
