Description :
The students played the roles of prosecution and defense lawyers in front of a panel of judges, as if it was a real courtroom, arguing subjects related to IHL.
This year's winner was Dagon University, and second was the winner of the two previous years, Yangon University. The Dagon University team will go on to compete at the regional IHL Moot Court Competition in Hong Kong in March next year.
The ICRC works with universities all over the world, supporting them to ensure the rules of International Humanitarian Law are well known and to generate interest in IHL and humanitarian issues among students and teachers.
