Rakhine, Chan Pyin. This 86-years-old-man used to be a farmer, but he lost the ability to walk after he had a stroke two years ago. He can’t walk or move without someone helping him. The ICRC physical rehabilitation team came to his village for the first time and taught him exercises to strengthen his legs and will provide him with a walking frame.

‘Even after retirement, I used to work on things around my house, I used to go to Maungdaw on foot. I feel so frustrated that I can’t anymore. (…) The exercise is good, but it also makes me tired. I want to be able walk by myself again. It would make me so happy.’
