The ICRC supports 22 primary health care centers and one hospital and their staff to provide health care at community level across the country. The Covid-19 pandemic is a crisis on top of an already fragile humanitarian situation in South Sudan. In February 2021, there has been a 94 per cent increase in confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 and a 35 per cent increase in deaths caused by the novel coronavirus.
