Description :
In 2016, Daraya was at the heart of fierce combats, which resulted in the destruction on 70% of the city's infrasctructures. In 2019, residents who fled the combats started returning to the city and tried to rebuild their lives despite the enourmous difficulties posed by destructions, lack of access to drinking water and weapon contamination in certain areas. In 2021, almost 50,000 people live in Daraya.
