Description :
The ICRC and the Myanmar Red Cross Society, in partnership with Rakhine State authorities, carry out an urban water project to ensure safe and sustainable access to water for communities in Rakhine State. This project includes the renovation of water ponds, the installation of tube wells in different villages and displacement sites across Rakhine State. In addition, the ICRC have provided families with materials to build temporary latrines, kitchens and bathrooms for women as well as solar panels.
