"Gaza's Youth: Suspended Lives, Fading Opportunities

Pending - Halima Al-Kahlout:
This artwork aims to convey the idea that medical prescriptions and treatment are two parallel lines that never meet.

The interplay between art and home-life has always caught my attention. This artwork was inspired by the broom in an attempt to present a path inspired by real life, as broom bristles have always been a temporary means of removing dust and quickly wear out and are replaced. This element is identical to the medical prescription, as it is only a temporary means to satisfy a patient and make them feel that they are holding a weapon and a solution to their illness in their hands. A medical prescription is just a piece of paper that brings optimism to the patient. The real tragedy, however, is when they discover that medical treatment is not available.

Fenced Off - Contemporary visual arts exhibition:
The art displayed in this exhibition is the work of twelve young artists from the Gaza Strip who were defined by the closure of the past 15 years. Inspired by this isolation, the artists were stimulated to create art using non-traditional means to embody their reality over the past 15 years.
What you will see is an attempt to answer questions posed by an entire generation longing for freedom, love, dignity, and much more, every day."
