Joan Abu Al-Rous, 6 years old, lost her mother and siblings in an airstrike on March 13, 2025, near their tent in Rafah, where they had been living since their displacement in May 2024. Her father is severely injured and being treated in another hospital. Joan, cared for by her aunt and grandmother, is receiving treatment at the ICRC hospital for fractures, shrapnel injuries, and the amputation of two toes. Traumatised, she has recently started walking again.
