Description : Neema Matondo, 29 years old, mother of four children, has no news about the whereabouts of her other children.

"At 3 a.m., we started hearing bomb explosions and the whistling of bullets. In Mubambiro, people were told to leave because bombs were falling everywhere. We quickly packed a few belongings, and I carried one of my children on my back as we fled. As we approached the checkpoint, a bomb exploded in front of us. The blast threw me backward, with the child on my back and the belongings on my head. When I looked around, I saw bodies lying on the ground, some shattered like animals."

"I was screaming for help: 'Help! Help! Please, save my child! He survived!'"

"A fighter, moved by my cries, tried to convince some motorbike riders to evacuate me, but they all sped away, refusing to help. Despite my injuries, I forced myself to walk, bleeding, to the other side of the checkpoint. There, I met a neighbor in Kasengesi who managed to contact a motorbike rider. He agreed to take me here. Now, I feel a little relieved, but I am still waiting for further treatment."
