Arwad (the bride) comes from a village in the occupied Golan. Her husband Muhanad lives in Qraya about 100 kilometers south east of Damascus in Syria.
In the occupied Golan, the ICRC – as a neutral intermediary – has been helping couples to marry across the front lines for two decades.
