Description : The supplementary feeding centre is being run by the British/Australian Red Cross in a camp that is currently home to over 100,000 people displaced by fighting in South Darfur, near the remote town of Gereida. The girl will be weighed, measured and then registered onto the programme before receiving life-saving basic medicine, like de-worming tablets and vitamins, and a regular supply of a high protein food designed to restore her to a healthy weight. The Red Cross is treating 700 children a week in this way at the camp.
