Description :
The supplementary feeding centre is being run by the British/Australian Red Cross in a camp that is currently home to over 100,000 people displaced by fighting in South Darfur, near the remote town of Gereida. Children are dependent on the centre for their survival. After receiving specially formulated foodstuffs designed to restore her to a healthy weight for her age and height, the child will have her feeding tube removed before being discharged. The Red Cross encourages mothers to prevent future health complications by learning how to keep clean and prepare food hygienically.
