Description : Shindisi village is close to the Administrative Boundary Line. Its water supply is inadequate, and pipework dating from Soviet times has not been maintained. The people have to collect water from just two taps in the village, with water available only every other day. Families must spend hours collecting the water in handcarts, donkey carts and motor vehicles, taking it up to 2 or 3 kms. ICRC Wathab engineers are working with the authorities to sink a new borehole and provide many more water collection points. Work is in progress.
