Description :
Two nurses from the Santos branch of the Brazilian Red Cross travelled all the way from their city to attend the exhibition. Due to their professional expertise, both identified themselves with images of health care being delivered on the field.
The exhibition is on display in Sao Paulo during April 2014. It consists of 63 historical and current photographs, plus videos and explanatory panels, illustrating some of the humanitarian relief operations done by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, since ICRC’s foundation in 1863, until the present day. It also brings to the public an overview of humanitarian response and of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) developments, which are constantly adapted to give a proper answer to the ever changing nature of armed conflict and other situations of violence around the world.
