Description : Doboj province is highly infested with landmines and Hodzici village is surrounded by landmines fields. Before the war, his family used to herd goats outside the village but they can no longer do so due to the presence of landmines. As a consequence, their economic situation has drastically deteriorated.

In 1997, he got involved in two landmine accidents as he was cutting wood in the forest. In first he lost his horse and suffered stomach injuries and the second took his left leg.

One of his brothers was killed in 2006, also by an anti-personnel mine in similar circumstances. Another brother was badly injured and lost his wife in a landmine explosion in 2011.
