Description : For almost 15 years, farmers were not able to access their lands within 100 to 300 meters along the fence. This year, farmers from Shoka area are able to farm their lands for the first time in 15 years. The ICRC’s land rehabilitation project was the door to access their lands. Through this project, the lands were cleared from any remnants of unexploded objects in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior in Gaza then were levelled, ploughed and cultivated.
Since 2015, ICRC continues its support to the cultivation of rain-fed crops, which helped the access of more than 500 farmers to their lands throughout the past three years.
