Description : 'We have lost everything, but you cannot compare it to losing a child' says this father to the ICRC. 'I am always thinking about him'. Two of his other children died, and while that was devastating, he says not knowing what happened to his son is even worse.
The camp is home to thousands of people who were forced to flee their homes because of the conflict that has engulfed the region for a decade. Many do not know where their loved ones are.
The ICRC has close to 22,000 open tracing cases in Nigeria, making it the highest caseload of missing people registered with the ICRC in the world. More than half of those were minors at the time of disappearance.
