Description :
“My baby fell sick. He had fever and diarrhea so I had no other choice but to come to the hospital”. The child was diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition when he was admitted in the pediatric department. But his situation is now stable and the mother is confident despite the difficult situation they live in. “We mostly rely on sorghum and beans but the recent floods affected us. I had water above the knee and the crops did not survive. But the next crops will be better”. Akobo is a remote area, West of South Sudan, close to the Ethiopian border. There are little infrastructures there and most rely on meagre resources. “They need to make peace in Juba, so one day we can have roads and buildings in Akobo”.
