He lost everything to Cyclone Kenneth hit in April 2019 and is trying to rebuild with the money he makes from selling charcoal roughly 3 USD a 50kg bag.

Description : Many families have turned to charcoal production after the cyclone destroyed their crops and violence has made it difficult to travel to outlying areas to plant. He is among the many being affected by armed violence in northern Mozambique. Attacks on villages have been recurrent in Cabo Delgado since 2017. The area was also hit by Cyclone Kenneth in April 2019, deepening the suffering of already vulnerable communities.
