Description :
This well supplies domestic water to two of Khan Younes' main neighbourhoods - Al Amal and the Western Camp. The well was seriously damaged during the hostilities. Despite the lack of spare parts and the impossibility of bringing them in from outside Gaza, the ICRC and the water department of Gaza's coastal municipalities have been able to restore the pumping unit and generator using other spare parts from the damaged well, making it possible to pump water for 8,000 people.
