Description :
The ongoing armed clashes in several areas of South Kivu continue to claim victims and force thousands of destitute families to flee their homes. Whether they have fled to other areas in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or to neighboring countries, many have lost contact with their loved ones during their escape. Teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Red Cross Societies of the DRC, Burundi, and Rwanda are working tirelessly to facilitate the restoration of family contacts as well as the medical care of the wounded.
