"It was 2016, in Al Raqqa – My brother Juma and I were working in a car repair workshop. We started the day at 7 a.m. in the workshop and finished around 6 p.m. I was 10 years old at the time – we were coming back from work on a motorbike with my brother, and I was sitting in the back. I remember the explosion, but that's all – nothing else. When I opened my eyes, I was in the hospital – my brother was lying on another bed next to me. He told me, 'Don't be afraid – nothing happened to us.' Since then, my whole life has changed.
I’ve undergone several surgeries, and I still need more operations – but there is no funding for that."
