Description :
Gereida is one of the largest internally displaced persons camp in Darfur, where the majority of the people in the camp are women and children. The ICRC is now covering the basic food, health, water and sanitation needs in the camp.
Construction of new latrines and maintenance of the ones already built in the camp is a labour intensive activity. Over 5,000 latrines are desinfected regularly in Gereida camp.
