Description :
Many people are sick from drinking water from the polluted river. The ICRC has a program to distribute water tanks and material to gather rain water from the roofs of the people's houses.
Photo taken along the Colombian border, in Northern Ecuador, in an area where there is a high rate of Colombian refugees. The situation on the other side of the border is among the worst in Colombia, due to the presence of various armed groups who fight among themselves-partly for the control of the routes to export cocaine, like Ecuador.
