Description : Beneficiaries open a kitchen set containing pots, bowls, plates, knives and other essential household items. Other essential household items distributed consisted of blankets, shawls, mats, kitchen sets, hygiene kits, tarpaulins, jerrycans and washbasins.


The cyclone contaminated local drinking-water wells and ruined any chance of a harvest for many local farmers. The ICRC and Somali Red Crescent are distributing emergency aid to more than 4,000 of the most vulnerable families.
