Description :
The cyclone contaminated local drinking-water wells and ruined any chance of a harvest for many local farmers. The ICRC and Somali Red Crescent are distributing emergency aid to more than 4,000 of the most vulnerable families. The aid consisted of essential household items - blankets, shawls, mats, kitchen sets, hygiene kits, tarpaulins, jerrycans and washbasins - and food such as rice, beans, oil, and high protein blended food.
