Description :
The hospital is run by the Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). In 2014, 30 children wounded by weapons were admitted during the same period. Even though the city no longer suffers from the barrage of conflict it witnessed in the mid-nineties, there is still sporadic gunfire attacks and car bombs still taking place. The hospital has been operational since 1992 ushering a period of civil war in Somalia.
