Khady, 43 years old, leaving with 11 other members of her family, is Mamadou’s wife, a migrant disappeared in 2006, when he tried to reach Spain from Casamance. Now Khady sells cheap jewelry, perfume, detergent and other small items to survive. Thanks to the ICRC and the Senegalese Red Cross Society, she is coping better. She participates to the psychological support group and the literacy classes. She is also the president of the association of families of missing migrants in her village.

Description : Mamadou was a carpenter but the earnings from his job were not enough. Khady still hopes that her husband is alive, perhaps in prison. Her son tells her that if his father reached Spain he could buy him a bicycle.
