Caption : Ramallah, Silwad village. This young man (18) was injured in 2017. He used to work as a builder, but his injury prevented him from continuing. Before being a builder, he used to work in a shop which sells chicken, and he had an experience in cutting, selling and freezing them. When he was offered to be supported by the ICRC, he opened a chicken-shop, to help his father to provide for the family.

Description : “When I rented the place, it needed lots of renovations. I painted the walls by myself in order to save money to buy two fridges”.
Everyday, the young man opens the shop from 8:30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. and works hard to improve the shop. Within a year, he added few food and non-food goods to the shop, as a first step to convert the little shop into a mini-market.
“I’m very happy for owning this little shop, but my dream is to convert this little shop into a mini-market”.
