Description : Samar Ab El-Ouf left school and married at the age of 17. She gave birth to four children and took care of the big family alone, not having much time to think about anything else. She surprised everyone when she started taking preparatory classes for the high school graduation exam. Despite all odds, she passed the exam and entered the Open University. A photography class organized by the university media department gave her a new sense of direction: “I want to show what life is like in Gaza. No-one can tell our story better than ourselves.”
